Hi everyone! I’m Liz. I’m a Pennsylvania native working in San Francisco as a healthcare researcher. I love writing about stress and anxiety to actively address the stigma around mental health and also to show other people what has helped me personally to manage my stress. I am no stranger to stress and anxiety, and I believe that avoiding these fearful emotions is one of the worst ways to manage them. Throughout the course of my life, I have been learning what works and what doesn’t work for managing my stress. Although I have studied human development, conducted research in environmental psychology, and spent a summer working with a stress psychology expert, I believe my best weapon against stress is my lived experience. Reading about other peoples experiences with stress and anxiety has helped me tremendously, and I hope to do the same for you.
